These terms cover your use of MyLanguageVoiceTutor (the "app"), a free browser-based tool for practicing spoken language with an AI tutor. By using the app, you agree to these terms.

What the app is

MyLanguageVoiceTutor lets you practice a language by talking or typing with an AI conversation partner. The AI model runs locally in your browser; we don't operate a server that processes your conversations.

It's free, as-is

The app is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device or browser.

AI-generated content

Replies from the AI tutor are generated by a language model and can be inaccurate, incomplete, or simply wrong — including corrections, translations, vocabulary explanations, and grammar guidance. Don't rely on it as your only source for anything important (exams, official translations, medical or legal language, etc.). Use your judgment, and double-check anything that matters.

Acceptable use

Please don't use the app to:

• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the site or the AI model in ways that harm other users
• Use it for anything illegal, or to generate content that's illegal, abusive, or harmful to others
• Misrepresent the app's outputs as official, certified, or professional advice

Your device, your resources

Since the AI model runs on your own device's GPU, using the app consumes your device's processing power, memory, and (once) a model download over your own internet connection. We're not responsible for device performance, battery usage, or data charges you may incur.

No warranty on local storage

Your settings and vocabulary list are stored in your browser's local storage, as described in our Privacy Policy. We aren't responsible for data loss if you clear your browser data, switch devices, or your browser's storage is otherwise cleared or corrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on AI-generated content.

Changes

We may update the app or these terms at any time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. We'll update the date at the top of this page when that happens.
